- Masthead- this is the name of the magazine that is written in a special font meant to stand out.
- Selling Line-
- Dateline- This is the month and the year of when the issue was publicized. It may also contain the price.
- Cover Lines- Lines on the front page of the magazine that hint at parts of the magazine.
- Main Image- The main picture used as the background for the front page.
- Model Credit- Usually found on the content page, this will give credit to the person modeling for the main image.
- Main Cover Line- A cover line that takes up much of the front page, and is separated into three different parts in three different colors.
- Bar Code- A standard bar code that allows the scanning of magazines during sale.
- Left Third- The left side of the front page, which is important to make the most of because many magazines will be stacked with only the left third showing.
- Cover line- Sometimes as many cover lines that can fit on the front page will be added on, so some cover lines may be by themselves on the right side of the page.
