Birdemic: Shock and Terror Review

3. He didn't score the movie, but likely in the 1-2/10
4. He gave NO high points for the film
5. The actors, the sound design, the plot, the cinematography, design choices, relevancy
6. Birdemic: Shock and Terror is a film that terrorizes viewers with a slaughtered amount of absurdity and unreasonable commotion. Filled with morons and crazy death defying birds that explode, it's a film that cannot get any worse because it is already at the worst - perhaps the worst film of all time. The fact it begins to play like a romance then suddenly subside into a completely different genre goes to show an idea like evil birds terrorizing a town cannot and never will be a great idea to expand on in life. Notes for Quotes

RULES FOR USING QUOTES
If a source expresses opinion, use a quotation.

A major or complex story needs more than one quoted source.

Too many quotes makes readers want to know what the facts of a story are.

Information that contains facts (who, what, when, where, how or why) should normally be used as
unquoted material.

Use a variety of different types of quotes.
ATTRIBUTION
Make sure the speaker of all quotations is properly identified.
Use "said" as the verb to attribute the quote.
DIRECT QUOTES
The exact, word-for-word account of what a source said, enclosed in quotation marks and attributed to source.
On second reference to speaker, just use last name.

Use NAME-SAID
INDIRECT QUOTE
A summary of what the speaker said reworded by the reporter.
It does not use quotation marks but is attributed to the source.

PARTIAL QUOTE
A combination of a direct quotation and a paraphrase, attributed to the source.
Mr. Doerr said he is looking forward to Thanksgiving so he "can relax and eat a lot of turkey and dressing."
FRAGMENTARY QUOTES
A single word or short phrase used by a source that is included in a paraphrase, enclosed in quotation marks and attributed to the source.
WHEN TO USE DIFFERENT QUOTES
Use direct quotations to express a speaker's unique point of view, personality or manner of speaking.
Use indirect quotes when you need to rephrase what the speaker said to make it more clear to the reader.
Use partial quotes to make colorful or memorable words stand out. But overuse can make writing seem jumpy and too cute.
TYPES OF QUESTIONS
Closed-Ended Questions- A question that allows the interviewee to answer with a yes or no or one word answer.
Open-Ended Questions- A question that forces the interviewee to answer with more than a yes-no or one-word answer.
Follow-Up Questions- A question that originates from listening to something the interviewee says.

Quotes from Interviews

I don't like lies, I don't mind a bad story. If you did a bad story on me for 60 minutes, if it was a fair story, I wouldn't be thin-skinned at all. -Donald Trump

Vladimir Putin
President of Russia
I'm proud of Russia, that's true. And we have something to be proud of, but we do not have any obsession with being a superpower in the international arena.

But your pride in Russia means that you would like to see Russia play a bigger role in the world and this is just one example.
I learned about how Putin thinks, because I had heard a lot of him, but nothing from him, so I now have some of his perspective.

"We have something to be proud of, but we do not have any obsession with being a superpower in the international arena." Putin said.

Russia should be proud of its success but being a formidable force is not of the utmost importance, said Putin.

Russia, with no "obsession with being a superpower" is still proud of what it has accomplished, said Putin

Russia is "proud of" its success, but does not worry about remaining an international "superpower", said Putin.

Leads from the Statesman

I was late and didn't realize we were doing the leads on the blog and not those on the handout, so I did one on the handout.

I believe that the story is about the tragedy of an assassination on a powerful political figurehead, ironically taking place directly after the peace rally.  Because of this unfortunate shooting, peace is a far-fetched idea for Israeli's and Jewish extremists.  Israel's government is trying to sort out and move forward from the incident, and they will try to come out of this stronger than ever.  I personally would not click on this link to know more because it does not closely relate to me. If it was in America or if I was Jewish then I might have been more interested.

The Three Little Pigs News Story

Three dead and two homes leveled after Wolf kills two pig brothers and attempts at the third brother today in Bababui.
We only have the wit of Mr. W Pigg to thank for keeping him alive.  "After Wolf tried to blow my house down like he did with my late brothers, I heard steps on the roof, and I quickly realized his plan to come down the chimney like a Santa Claus of death.  I had a pot of boiling water ready before you could say "Bacon!"" Pigg testifies, "I am only here today because of very lucky circumstances."
The motive is still unknown but officials believe it has to do with the severe poverty rate in Bababui.  Rations are running low and some, like Wolf, have turned to eating each other. We have reports that when Wolf could not gain entry by speech, he forcefully destroyed the living quarters of the first to brothers.  The amount of saliva and the stench found at the scene suggest that he blew the house down with just his breath.
Damage to the homes is still unfixed, a large problem for Pigg but one that most residents of Bababui have lived with for the past decade in such a poor time for the once bustling city.  As the debt of the city rises, so seems the crime rate.
